Workshop Intro

This year, we’re excited to be collaborating with our amazing local breweries for our Sip & Plant workshop series — Beer + Botanical. We’ll be meeting up in a cozy, stylish craft beer brewery right in downtown Victoria, where you can sip, slow down, and create something living (and genuinely cool) together. “Steampunk x Staghorn Fern” To better unleash your creativity, each workshop comes with its own theme, along with special figures/decors and a few fun “rules” that match the theme. For this workshop, our theme is Steampunk — think gears, pipes, vintage industrial details, and a little bit of fantasy. In this session, we’ll guide you to mount a staghorn fern on a wooden board, step-by-step from start to finish. No experience is needed — we’ll provide all the materials, tools, and guidance to help you create a strong, long-lasting mount. We’ll also provide a selection of steampunk-inspired décor pieces such as old-style water taps, nuts, gear wheels, mini water pipes, and more, so you can decorate your board and bring the whole theme to life. If you have any small steampunk-style items at home, feel free to bring them along too! By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a finished staghorn fern mount that’s not only alive — but also a stylish statement décor piece for your home. • “Bring a Helper” Ticket: Invite a friend or family member to build one terrarium together, of course, a beer for them as well!
