The Woodland Charm | 森余白 植物工房 is a botanical design studio devoted to creating miniature living landscapes, based in beautiful Victoria, BC.

Rooted in the philosophy of 余白—the beauty of balance and breathing space—we approach plants not simply as decoration, but as living elements that shape atmosphere, rhythm, and presence.

Our work explores the relationship between nature, craft, and space. From terrariums and miniature forests to Kusamono and bonsai, each piece is thoughtfully composed to reflect the quiet beauty of natural forms. Drawing from East Asian aesthetics and the original character of plants, we blend traditional inspiration with a contemporary, design-forward approach.

Beyond our creations, we offer hands-on workshops, pop-up experiences, and curated collaborations. These gatherings are designed to be calm and accessible, inviting participants to slow down, work with their hands, and engage with plants in an intentional way. Whether in a cozy local café, a brewery, an office, or a shared creative space, each setting becomes part of the experience.
